“The Force that Rises from the Shadows” is an ink work inspired by the figure of Maleficent , a character who has always moved me because of her emotional complexity.
She represents something that obsesses me as an artist: the perfect blend of vulnerability and power, of wound and rebirth.
Maleficent is not just a villain, nor a heroine.
It is the image of a woman who, after being broken, rises again with a new strength, dark, elegant and profoundly luminous.
Their transformation is not born from anger, but from pain turned into identity.
In this work I wanted to capture that moment when their wings —real or symbolic— grow back.
The shadows of the ink spread like a protective aura; the fluid strokes suggest an energy that is not contained, that expands.
For me, Maleficent embodies the intimate power that appears when we accept all our parts: the light, the shadow, and that which we never show.
This piece is part of Inktober 2025 , an emotional journey through characters that have shaped my imagination, from myths to contemporary cinema.
