The Interior Knitting

The Interior Knitting

“The Inner Weaving” is an ink work inspired by the visionary universe of Remedios Varo, an artist who has always moved me with her ability to transform the everyday into ritual, the invisible into matter, the spiritual into architecture.

In this piece, I recreate a dreamlike corridor where elongated figures advance silently, guided by impossible machines, wheels that weave light, and gears that seem to move destiny. The entire space vibrates as if it were an internal mechanism: a dream unfolding, a thought traveling, a world being built from the inside out.

What moves me about De Varo is the delicacy with which she unites science, magic, and soul.

As I drew this scene, I felt that same force: the idea that each of us walks through our own secret passage, surrounded by symbols that we don't always understand, but that push us forward.

The ink, with its dense shadows and crisscrossing lines, allowed me to explore that liminal territory between reality and vision. This drawing is a tribute to that creative impulse that is born within and manifests itself as emotional architecture.

It is part of Inktober 2025, a collection where I explored symbolic, mythological and surreal worlds that dialogue with my own imagination.
