Carmen Sáez Ortega (Murcia, Spain, 1984) has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Murcia (2003-2008), there she specialized in Drawing and Painting. She later lived in the city of Istanbul where she practiced her role as an oriental dancer with the Baba Zula group, and she was able to find great inspiration in Ottoman contributions. She later settled in the Netherlands, where she had the opportunity to teach Visual Arts classes in international schools.
In her work, Carmen talks about people's identity. To do this she uses portraits, animals and nature. The origins of her protagonist become important and mix with the fantasy that the environment evokes.
In her work you can see the combination of analogue and digital techniques. She defines herself as an artist always evolving, learning and experimenting with techniques and reflecting reflections on different societies.
